The first oil shipments after liberation arrive in Banias

The first shipments of crude oil transported by land from the “Al-Omar” and “Al-Tanek” oil fields arrived today at the Syrian Petroleum Company station in the city of Banias, after they were liberated and returned to production service.

The shipment included twenty tankers whose contents were emptied into the designated tanks at the Banias refinery, under the supervision of the company’s technical staff.

The arrival of this shipment is a milestone, as it is the first of its kind since the state regained control of the eastern oil fields, and it comes as part of efforts to rehabilitate infrastructure and boost local production.
